Save the map in MapsMaker, turn Published on, and verify its hosted page.

Copy the HTTPS iframe

Use Share → Embed on an embed-enabled MapsMaker plan.

Add Embed HTML

In Wix Editor, choose Add Elements → Embed Code → Embed HTML and paste the full iframe.

Size both layers

Set an explicit iframe height, then size the Wix embed element and page section on desktop and mobile.

Publish and test

Inspect the live Wix URL on desktop and a phone, including search, filters, scrolling, directions, and CTAs.

Know what Wix does and does not resize

Wix places HTML or URL embeds inside an iframe element. The element is not automatically responsive, even when the code inside it uses width 100%, so desktop and mobile dimensions need separate attention.

Add the HTML embed and size its container

In Wix Editor, use Add Elements → Embed Code → Embed HTML, paste the complete iframe, and apply it. Wix Studio labels can vary, so use its Embed element and verify the current Wix instructions.

Keep the iframe code at width 100%, but also stretch or size the Wix element itself

Give both the iframe and its Wix section an explicit height; start around 700px for a locator with a list

Open the Wix mobile editor and resize or reposition the embed for that layout

Troubleshoot clipping, blank frames, and access

When only part of the map appears, the Wix element or its section is usually shorter than the iframe. A completely blank frame points to publication, HTTPS, plan, or domain access.

Map is cropped: increase the Wix element and section height, not only the height inside the iframe code

Desktop works but mobile fails: resize and reposition the element in the Wix mobile editor

Embed is blank: confirm the map is published, the URL is HTTPS, and the MapsMaker plan includes embeds

Domain denied: on Business, allow the live root domain; root-domain matching includes its subdomains, while a separate Wix preview host is a different host

Limits, analytics, and official Wix guidance

MapsMaker can record best-effort map views, marker clicks, directions, and CTA actions. Those events do not prove a purchase, lead, or other completed Wix conversion.

Frequently asked questions

Does Wix make an embedded map automatically responsive?

No. Wix says HTML and URL embed elements are not automatically responsive. Size the iframe, the Wix element, and its section, then check the mobile layout separately.

Why is the bottom of the map missing?

The Wix element or section is shorter than the iframe. Increase all relevant heights and retest the page at desktop and mobile widths.

Can MapsMaker measure Wix conversions?

MapsMaker records best-effort map interaction events, not completed purchases, form submissions, or revenue attribution in Wix.

Can I restrict the Wix embed to my domain?

Yes on MapsMaker Business. Allow the live root domain; its subdomains are included. Treat a separate Wix preview domain as a separate host when testing.

Why does Wix reject the map URL?

Confirm that you pasted the complete HTTPS iframe into Embed HTML, that the map is published, and that your MapsMaker plan permits website embeds.
